Umumah wa Intima | Motherhood & Belonging

When a child is diagnosed with autism or a developmental difference, the world shifts.
And the mother — she holds all of it.
Umumah wa Intima is a first-of-its-kind, culturally grounded program for her, for all Emirati mothers of young children with autism or developmental differences developed by A&B under the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an.

The Path: What Umumah wa Intima offers

8-Session Group Program

A structured journey delivered in small groups, over eight weekly sessions of 90 minutes each in Arabic and English. Two sessions welcome family members for deeper learning.

Family Resource Guide

A bilingual companion guide for mothers to keep, return to, and share. Not a manual. Not a clinical textbook. A beautiful book designed to be picked whenever and started from wherever.

Digital Community of Practice

A dedicated online space where mothers continue to connect, access resources, and over time, become a community for one another.

Media Gallery

A research team has been assembled to systematically evaluate the acceptability of the Umumah wa Intima program for use in the UAE. This is a rigorously developed, research-backed initiative designed to grow — from a pilot cohort into a lasting community.

أمومة وانتماء | Motherhood & Belonging

عندما يُشخَّص طفل بالتوحّد أو بأحد الفروق النمائية، يتغيّر كل شيء.
أما الأم، فتحمل كل ذلك على عاتقها.
«أمومة وانتماء» برنامج رائد من نوعه، منبثق من ثقافة المجتمع، صُمم من أجلها؛ من أجل جميع الأمهات الإماراتيات اللاتي لديهن أطفال صغار من ذوي التوحّد أو الفروق النمائية. وقد طوّرته A&B تحت مظلة هيئة المساهمات المجتمعية – معًا.

المسار: ما الذي يقدّمه برنامج أمومة وانتماء

برنامج جماعي من ثماني جلسات

رحلة منظّمة تُقدَّم ضمن مجموعات صغيرة، على مدار ثماني جلسات أسبوعية مدة كل منها 90 دقيقة، باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية. وتتيح جلستان مشاركة أفراد الأسرة لتعميق الفهم والتعلّم.

دليل موارد الأسرة

دليل مرافق ثنائي اللغة للأمهات، يمكنهن الاحتفاظ به والعودة إليه ومشاركته. ليس كتيّب تعليمات، ولا مرجعًا سريريًا؛ بل كتاب جميل صُمم لتفتحه الأم متى شاءت، وتبدأ من حيث تريد.

مجتمع الممارسة الرقمي

مساحة رقمية مخصصة تواصل فيها الأمهات التواصل فيما بينهن، ويصلن إلى الموارد، ويشكّلن بمرور الوقت مجتمعًا يدعم بعضه بعضًا.

معرض الصور والوسائط

شُكِّل فريق بحثي لتقييم مدى تقبّل برنامج «أمومة وانتماء» وملاءمته للاستخدام في دولة الإمارات تقييمًا منهجيًا. وهذه مبادرة طُوّرت وفق أسس بحثية رصينة، وصُممت لتنمو من مجموعة تجريبية إلى مجتمع مستدام.

A truly an enriching experience. The course was very well blended with a combination of asynchronous tasks and synchronous meetings Bite sized learning sections, a mix of instructional videos, readings and quizzes, Downloadable practical resources, and quizzes to check my understanding. ABTI is the best thing that happened to me and my daughter. I was lost and didn’t know where to start with my child behavioral therapy. But since 2019 when I first met Ms Nipa I knew I have made the right decision for my daughter. The course is designed beautifully such that one gets a deep understanding of how Behaviour is the response to things that are happening around. I never knew we can overcome a lot of problems just by studying one’s behaviour. The course has indeed helped me gain deep knowledge about the subject.

I feel myself blessed to had crossed paths with ABti cia in the very beginning of my autistic's kids journey (2yo). I moved to Abu Dhabi right after my kids had gotten their autism diagnosis and I was totally lost in this new world. As they grow older (almost 6) I can say it was such a difference in their improvement have had their people interacting with them for 1year. An whole team focused on their individual strengths instead of deficits, a child leds and trauma based therapy! Such a lucky mama! The most respectful and assertive approach I could provide to them.
