Umumah wa Intima | Motherhood & Belonging.

When a child is diagnosed with autism or a developmental difference, the world shifts.
And the mother — she holds all of it.
Umumah wa Intima is a first-of-its-kind, culturally grounded program for her, for all Emirati mothers of young children with autism or developmental differences developed by A&B under the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an.

The Path: What Umumah wa Intima offers

8-Session Group Program

A structured journey delivered in small groups, over eight weekly sessions of 90 minutes each in Arabic and English.

Family Resource Guide

A bilingual companion guide for mothers to keep, return to, and share. Not a manual. Not a clinical textbook. A quiet, beautiful book designed to be picked whenever and started from wherever.

Digital Community of Practice

A dedicated online space where mothers continue to connect, access resources, and over time, become a community for one another.

A research team has been assembled to systematically evaluate the acceptability of the Umumah wa Intima program for use in the UAE. This is a rigorously developed, research-backed initiative designed to grow — from a pilot cohort into a lasting community.

A truly an enriching experience. The course was very well blended with a combination of asynchronous tasks and synchronous meetings Bite sized learning sections, a mix of instructional videos, readings and quizzes, Downloadable practical resources, and quizzes to check my understanding. ABTI is the best thing that happened to me and my daughter. I was lost and didn’t know where to start with my child behavioral therapy. But since 2019 when I first met Ms Nipa I knew I have made the right decision for my daughter. I feel myself blessed to had crossed paths with ABti cia in the very beginning of my autistic's kids journey (2yo).
